You pay iPage to host that site.

Thanks.

I am getting confused about the 2 websites: WordPress.com and WordPress.org and the extension of my own website: "trainmandan.com".

Perhaps this brief background will help.

1. I took a 1 day course on WordPress at the local Community College. The instructor said that students needed to 1) get a domaine name. (I chose "trainmandan.com." from Go Daddy) and 2) paid host (I Page).

2. I chose a ".com" extension b/c it was easy to remember.

Which is the correct interpretation of your last remarks?

1. that I should have gotten a domaine name with a ".org" extension instead of a ".com" extension, b/c I have a paid host. If I wanted a free host, I should have requested a ".com" extension.

 or

2. regardless of the extension, if I use a paid host, then I get support thru WordPress.org.

What are my next steps? Will I have to move my website somewhere else or just get help from WordPress.org?

Thank You,

Dan Peacock

I note we tried to help you in this previous thread http:// http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-get-the-software-to-publish-my-edited-home-page?replies=10#post-1130141

trainmandan.com is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We cannot help you here with it. As I stated in the other thread.

That's not a blog from and being free hosted by WordPress.com. Support for your website is provided on the WordPress.ORG support forums http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org, click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software.
