I DID get the successful message, but I've gotten it several times before and the connection didn't work. The thing that really worries me is that when I try to look at the Facebook settings on WordPress, I also get a message that says "You don't manage any Facebook pages." Huh? But actually, I see that my posts from WordPress, which have not been showing up since August 1, are there after following your procedure, so thanks very much. Those instructions were just what I needed!

I have been trying to figure out how to reset the link to the page since I have the same problem, but I have no clue based upon your explanation. Attaching extra characters or simplifying a URL seems to have nothing to do with clearing a cache. I am trying the debugger, but it seems to be hung.
