(1) How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

(2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:

I just logged in on a new session.

And I thought, GREAT IT IS FASTER. "10 seconds to logon - is that really faster?," I thought.

Then 10 or more seconds later, the little widget showing me how many visitors I have had popped in .....

Any ideas what to fix for the slowness?

This is a little frustrating.

AdBlock. It's an add-on for your browser that blocks ads from displaying. Google for instructions on disabling it on your particular browser.

And I was actually trying to come over to the forums to ask why is everything running so slow, when the page re-wrote everything in front of me.

For no reason.

I might be a ghost, but I am not the gremlins in the machine.

Does anyone know why everything is so slow? I have no idea why the page auto-re-freshed ... that was CREEPY.
