There are layers of protection in WordPress.com blogs that don't exist for WP.org blogs. It would be a pretty appallingly bad hacker who couldn't get around a country or IP block in less than a second. I can do it myself.

The result. They found a link to a wordpress blog (self hosted) that I have made for the humanitarian organization Lions Clubs International and hacked it.

So the question is: -Why is it not possible to block readers by country? And will that feature be added soon? And if not, is it possible to transfer a wordpress blog to a self hosted server in order to add for instance iQ Block Country..?
