JusticeWatcher - in Windows Live Writer, did you try TOOLS/OPTIONS/ACCOUNTS?
It's right there - DELETE.
I just tested it - it's still there.

And I update my blog all the time with new content new and existing. I've used it here [Wordpress.com] and with my blog http://www.lehsys.com.

I am using Windows Liver Writer to post to different blogs. Each blog needs a blog account but once created I cannot delete it!! ??
By the way, it seems that it is not possible to send new content to pages, but only posts ?
