If it is a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.com then this entry will be helpful. Some themes have "home" or "blogs" pages coded into the templates. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/hide-pages/

I have managed to set up a static 'Home' page, but in the process have somehow duplicated the link on the banner.
Both links lead to the same page.
How can I delete one and keep the same Stativ page as the front to my blog?
