]]> abolishit on "wordpress subdomains inaccessible if ICMP blocked" http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpress-subdomains-inaccessible-if-icmp-blocked#post-1062734 Tue, 06 Nov 2012 23:39:54 +0000 abolishit 1062734@http://en.forums.wordpress.com/ i created a subdomain and used it for a couple of days, posting a few things. had some problems with caching which caused new posts to overwrite old ones. today i had a completely new problem: i could not access ANY wordpress subdomains at all. i looked at the firewall traffic log and noticed that after each TCP request there was a ICMP packet 3/4 from my ISP that was being blocked (by default, i didn't cause it). i created a rule to allow them and now it's working. is this a problem with my ISP or is wordpress doing something weird?
