There is no upgrade you can purchase form WordPress.com that changes what I posted above. However, there are no eCommerce restrictions if you hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I am currently using a 30-day shopify trial, and was also hoping to do something similar for the wordpress Pro to make my decision. Please let me know if there is a free trial available and how to go about beginning the trial.
