I share your frustration with Gravatar IDs without links but apparently Gravitar is unavoidable as our 'avatar' image emanates from there. I have visited your site and it confirms my understanding of those stats.

Put simply, I'm used to seeing one, maybe 2 'Like' images/avatars/gravitars on my posts then one day I got over 50 and I rather liked the novelty of looking at the multiple affirmations colourfully meriting my work. Hence my initial query. Yes they're still there - but it didn't seen the same nested. However I take your point about page loading speed and look forward to the day when this will be a concern to me. In the meantime my only solution is to continue writing to such a high quality that I will regularly receive 50-odd 'Likes" and I become bored with them and no longer miss the visual vanity that I so enjoyed.

Thanks for the tip on limiting RSS text display. I have followed your site for future reference.

1. Gravatars aren't even linked to blogs. They drive traffic to the gravatar profile pages and many bloggers don't even enter their blog links on those profile pages at all. I'm sick and tired of clicking into gravatar profile pages only to find the blogger who clicked the like button did not bother to provide their blog links there.

2. I ♥ love ♥ getting page view stats and comments. Likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. 3. I want my blog s to load quickly. I am happy the big blocks of like clicks that are not representative of actual page view stats are now nicely tucked away, rather than increasing page loading time on my blogs.

Only about a dozen gravatar images of the 'likers' are displayed, the other forty are hidden behind the hyperlink '50 likes'. Yesterday the whole fifty were on display but I must have adjusted some setting in error and I would now like to reverse it. Thank you for your interest - Mike
