It seems to have been connected with unchecking the "Show follow button to logged out users". I rechecked it, saved, unchecked, saved again, and touch wood that has fixed it.

I don't think it is a Kuwait problem.

Have you tried force refreshing and clearing your cache and cookies in your browser? See http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

It sounds like it could also be a side-effect of a possibly censored/controlled internet connection from Kuwait, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_censorship_by_country#.C2.A0Kuwait

Let me add that in the past few minutes, the situation has normalised, but that happened before and it could revert.

The result was I've had lots visits from Kuwait in the past day. That's me! It's where I am, and I have never had visits from Kuwait before. Also in the last few minutes, I got back a lot of edits I had made to a page that I was SURE I'd saved, but which had not been showing up.

I am logged in -- but only when I select individual posts! If I go to my home page -- or some individual pages (as opposed to posts) -- the WP tooolbar disappears and the system seems to think I am NOT logged in, and starts counting my own visits in the stats!

Very odd. While all this is going on, I am able to publish new posts and check stats. But obviously I cannot access the "edit this post" link from the main home page. Only when I select the post individually.

This has been happening for 24 hours and happens on all browsers. I have reset them, cleared cookies and caches etc and it still happens. A problem to flag to staff, I guess.
