100 things to do when WP is down.

  1. Why don't we make a list?
    Here is my suggestion for #1.
    Make a call. Ring your mom. Ring your girlfriend.
    Call your granny. Your mistress. Heck anyone:)

  2. get help of black magic to make wp up again.

  3. go spam blogs on blogger (or is it called blogspot)

  4. (1) Clean out and categorize your bookmarks.
    (2) Clean out your email program.
    (3) Organize your "my document" files.
    (4) Delete programs you don’t use.
    (5) Write your next blog post in an off-line blog editor.
    (6) Run any maintenance programs you don’t have auto-scheduled.
    (7) Write down your logins and passwords for all your sites, blogs, email accounts, where you purchased your domain names, etc. on 3 x 5 inch index cards and get them ready to put into your safety deposit box.
    (8) Unplug your computer, take the cover off and clean out the dust with canned air.

  5. Muck out the pigs.
    Muck out the chickens.
    Spread muck on the fields.
    Dig muck into the vegetable beds.
    Have a mucking good time. :)

  14. draw a big banner of steve jobs and hang it in front of Bill Gate's house.

  15. Good, maybe if her career goes down the tubes she'll eat something!

  16. Read all those starred items in your reader that you never seem to find the time to read.

  17. (1) Watch a DVD.
    (2) Do a crossword puzzle.
    (3) Go for a walk... you remember being outside, don't you? :)
    (4) Do all the chores you've never had time for.
    (5) Update your iPod.
    (6) Pray that WP will be back up soon!

    Okay, my suggestion:
    Simple, sit and try to remember what you were doing before starting to blog, and then at the time where you have to give up, WP will probably be up running again.

    Back up all your important data! You could be seconds away from catastrophic hard drive failure.

    e. boot up and see if WP . com is up again yet

  25. Seriously, is it just me or have their been a raging snotload of outages lately? Seems like half the websites I check won't come up and I end up on the OpenDNS page that just tells me there's a problem. Well duh, since I'm not at the site I wanted to get to!

  26. I've noticed outages - and slowdowns - across a slew of sites that I use. They're all groaning.

    Still, it gives me a nostalgia trap back to the old days of Mosaic and 14.4k modems except that then I thought slow was fast while I now think fast is slow!
