I've been looking through these questions. I just made a new blog with the same username. I now want the two blogs to be separate - comments, blog name displayed, etc. I set up a new email address for this blog. If I forward this blog do I lose the posts? Can I change the username for just this blog? I even tried making a new 'fake' blog person to be my administrator. Thanks
The blog I need help with is snapshotoftheworld.wordpress.com.
When we register a username account here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged into WordPress.com and register a blog it's registered to that username account we are logged in under and to the email address which is our unique identifier. We can register as many blogs as we wish and provided we are using the same username account then all the blogs will be registered under it and the associated email account. We can change our "display name" but that display name will appear on all blogs registered under the same username account.

In order to completely separate the blogs that are not associated with each other you register another username account using a different email address when you are logged out of WordPress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ Then you add the new username account as an official user of the blog, and designate them (ie. you) as an Admin. After adding a new blog, I am no longer able to access my initial long-standing blog. I cannot access the old dashboard. -I am waiting for a correction to an email address for the new blog and it's been days. How can I access both blogs while waiting for the email correction?

Another related issue: Lipsticklogic is co-administered with Bev Erickson. Her email was also recorded inaccurately at wordpress and her previous blog: Blueheronloft.com has now alsoo been corupted with lipsticklogic data. It all seems strange and probably related to the email inaccuracy. Thank you for your help. Betty
You should probably both disable Post by Email in your blogs right away, if there's cross-contamination. You can change your emails in two places: for the blog itself, on the Settings->General page. For the user, on Users->Profile.
