a cascade of questions...

    hi there,
    i'm in the process of customizing the nishita template into artist folio type shape ( i have obviously upgraded to custom design for that) and am quite enjoying the variants one can achieve through altering the CSS (note, first time meddling, excuse my lack of relevant vocabulary). i feel like i've got most of the things altered i wanted to, but still have a few queries:
    1 - i moved the side bar from the static pages (following some previous forum queries) and was trying to figure out how to widen the remaining box to that of the header (1024px ?)
    2 - the original template has a double frame (grey/off white) around all the 'containers' (currently still around main pages), i'd love to be able to apply that to the header title box (instead of the white thin line), but can't figure out which code is for that
    3 - when adding one's own CSS to the original, does the order matter?
    4 - more a comment than a question, i tried to adjust the title font colour in the custom design part, it seems somewhat clumsy though, the colour appears different in the customization part, then on the saved site, i was aiming for like a more burnt orange... (is there anywhere to look at the code that goes with each colour to get an idea how to manually alter it - i do understand that each screen show colours slightly different too...)
    5 - how could i insert a small copyright blurb into the very bottom line of each page?
    6 - i'd love to include a moving image (ie. video) for one of my works, would that mean a $60 upgrade or is there other ways to get around that?
    7 - i tried to reduce the font weight of the title slightly, but can't seem to make a difference, tried 'lighter' and a numerical value, but maybe had a glitch in the code?

    The header box and the content area box look the same size to me right now. Here is the page I checked: http://heikequalitz.com/photography/

    Please post back with an example link if I'm looking at the wrong thing.

    Looks like you figured this one out too. This looks like the CSS you used:

    #header-inner {
	border:1px solid #272727;
}

    So, are you saying one of the colors you picked in the watercolor style color palette is different in the live preview than it is after it's applied to the site? Is that still happening for you? I did try testing that issue and I was unable to reproduce what you've described.

    I recommend doing this with a pseudo element in the footer area. Here's an example for the Nishita theme:

    #footer p:before {
	content: "Copyright YOURNAMEHERE. ";
}

    You can include lots of types of videos for free, but you need to use one of the video services listed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/

    Some fonts naturally have more weight to them, and in that case sometimes choosing a slightly less contrast color compared to the background color can help. Are you referring to the main site title "heike qualitz" or to the post/page titles? What did you try already exactly?

    thanks a lot for taking the time to go through the onslaught of questions, have had help in answering some of them in the meantime (as you have noticed) thanks especially for coding advice on question 2, 3 and 5!
