I've finished a draft of my memoir's first chaper, beginning it with my interview of former, Haitian dictator Baby Doc Duvalier last year in Port-au-Prince. Growing up with a mafia father and religiously fanatical mother, I've long grappled with notions of good and evil, a dissonance triggered again by interviewing "bad-guy" Duvalier that motivated me to seriously pursue a memoir-writing project.
