A couple of simple problems with Photography (Theme Foundry)

  1. A few questions concerning the theme Photography ... go easy on me, I'm a beginner blogger!

When a viewer looks at my posts ... comments don't show up front.
The number of comments submitted about a post shows at the bottom but the comments themselves don't, unless someone actually clicks the title of the post itself. When I view the blogs of other folks - comments seems to show right up front.
Know what I mean? How can I change my blog so comments show right below the post?

Also ... the comment protocol seems to be hardwired into each of my post submissions. If I use the add comment protocol (it's alongside the media buttons) I get two comment boxes. Seems like comment routines have already been set into the theme - and this doesn't allow me much flexibility with the way the comment area looks.

And, finally ... I'm having an issue with the Widget box up front where folks can sign on to follow by email.
If I look at my blog in 'edit' mode - I see only one box (with the text I've added). If I look at my blog as others see it ... there are TWO boxes there ... one with the text I've added AND a blank one.
    What's up with that?

Thanks everyone for toying with a beginner!

    Thanks much.

The blog I need help with is pairodox.wordpress.com.

There's no way to do that with the theme you chose. What you are describing is normal, otherwise your front page would be cluttered with comments. At WordPress.com, only the P2 theme (a Twitter wannabe theme) displays all comments at the front.

If I use the add comment protocol (it's alongside the media buttons) I get two comment boxes.

I don't understand what you mean by "comment protocol alongside the media buttons", and I don't see two comment boxes on your blog. Care to clarify?

This is normal. Logged-in WordPress.com users (including yourself) only see a button to sign up because they don't need to enter an email address manually.

This is a forum, not a private support service. As a matter of fact, email addresses are removed automatically. In the future, feel free to subscribe to a topic so that the answers are sent to you automatically.

Also in the future, would you please post your questions individually and not as a bulk? That way it will be easier to follow up and also easier for others to find the answers. Again, because this is a forum after all. Thanks for understanding.

  3. Hi,
I am having the same problem. Using the Twenty Eleven theme and comments to my post do not show as they do in others I see.
You have to click on '1 Reply' at the end of the post to see the comments.
I have searched but can't find how to display them.
As per some info I found, I tried adding the widget to the side but that hasn't changed anything other than to show there are comments to the post, so going to remove the widget.
    Help!!!
    Newby here too!
    Thanks in advance.
