Hello, i have a free blog on wordpress.com, but it's not clear in the installation how to install wordpress (the last version) on this blog. I need that for adding plugins (subscribe, etc). Can someone help me?

WordPress.com runs the latest development branch of WordPress, so there's no need (and no way) to update your blog individually.
We don't allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

However, we do have some really cool widgets (including a Subscribe widget). Perhaps one of those might meet your needs?

If you specify the result you want (ie what you're trying to do exactly) we can almost always come up with a workaround so you don't need plugins.
Ok, thank you very much. For now, i need widgets for subscribe and rss feeds, and in time i'll need widgets for google adsense and amazon/ebay products
Bad news: Affiliate linking and paid ads are not allowed here. You will have to leave WordPress.com in order to use them.
Subscription and RSS widgets are available on your blog by going to Dashboard->Appearance->Widgets and just add in all the widgets you want there.
