A serious issue with display and loading of images on my blog.

    Hi,

    I am having a wordpress blog, I am not hosting it from my machine. Recently I have a problem where images are not loading properly on the page and the page is looking like a mobile site. It is actually opening up as mobile phone version.When I opened the developer tools of the browser found that certain files(Gravater Images/JS's) are not loading correctly. For ex:

    http://s.stats.wordpress.com/w.js?21 - remove the s. at the beginning and it works.
    and
    But if I copy the URL, remove the '1' at the begining of 1st and 2nd url respectively, the image loads.

    or remove s0. or s. in the 3rd and 4th url respectively, Javascript file opens. Can some one help me on how to fix this.

    The blog I need help with is vinicooksveg.wordpress.com.

    Don't know about the specifics in your question

    But you are using a ton of bandwidth to get your front page to load - that can cause load errors - I found a 1.7 mb picture in the sidebar and some other large ones -

    Optimize the images and consider using the More Tag so the Posts on the front page don't need to load all the content each time someone visits

    Hi auxclass,

    Right now, I can't access my blog. It is not accepting any changes in the settings. My mobile is showing my blog in desktop version and desktop is showing up in mobile version. Mobile version is not compatible with my desktop, so I can't access the settings or write a post or practically change anything.

    Oops, sorry that should be http://m.vinicooksveg.wordpress.com/ or even http://m.wordpress.com from your desktop computer?

    I do see only mobile phone version with both links. I can't access the blog properly with mobile version.

    Is it ONLY Gravatar images you're having the issue with? Because there is a known problem with them that staff are working on, and it's been going on for a week at least.

    What happens when you log out, then sign in directly via http://vinicooksveg.wordpress.com/wp-admin instead?

    Yes, gravatar images is a problem. But everything is opening up in mobile version. My mobile is opening my blog in desktop version.Even with the above link, it still opens up in mobile version on desktop.

    Sounds like you're reporting a different aspect of the same gravatar bug as everyone else.

    I'm not sure what's going on with the mobile version. Can you take a screenshot of your dashboard and upload it so we can see it here?

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://www.whatbrowser.org/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you're using if you're still having trouble.
