I would like to know if there is a WP theme that allows for widgets on the sidebar of a static page?
The blog I need help with is hadleykaden.wordpress.com.

Som themes have sidbars on every page and some do not. Some themes have optional sidebars depending on which tempaltes we choose. The Twenty Ten theme on the blog linked to your username has sidebars on pages. Look in the far right hand column when editing a page or creating one and locate the Page Attributes box, lacvt Templates and in the dropdown menu choose "Default Template" rather than "One Column, no sidebar".

Thanks!
I followed the directions, but I am not sure how to add widgets to the sidebar on a page. Do I just go to appearance - widgets?
Yes, and then you drag the widgets you want into the sidebar. Some you can configure, like choosing drop-down or regular display, and some are not configurable.
Maybe I answered my own question. When I go to my "pages" I see the same sidebar widgets that are on my regular blog page.
I guess my question was, can I change the widgets that are on each "page" or do they remain the same throughout the blog?
The sidebar isn't part of the content of each page, it's a separate area that remains the same no matter what page you're viewing.
