Academica full page layout not working

  1. Hi - I don't know if I've done something wrong or don't get this, but the full page layout is not working in Academica with the CSS changes I've made. Here's the page: http://eornetwork.wordpress.com/make-a-report/
    The copy goes over the title area and the bottom orange line is under the media placed in the copy area. It also happens with the sidebar left template. The only page templates I can use are ones with a right sidebar. I did a CSS to remove the upper orange line:
    hr.sepinside {
    display: none;
    }

    Did this do something to the templates? Do you have a way I can use the other templates?
    Thank you!

    The blog I need help with is eornetwork.wordpress.com.

  2. Update: after playing around with it, the code that is changing the other templates is this:

    #content .column-last {
    position: absolute;
    top: 60px;
    right: 20px;
    }
    This code was added to move the right sidebar up to the top with a shortened title area and slider. So it looks like I can't have the right sidebar up the side and still have a full page or sidebar left templates? Anyway to do both? thanks!

  3. Hi there, and yes there is a conflict, but we can easily fix that by targeting the changes for the sidebar and slider specifically to the home page. Modify the selectors and add .home at the beginning of them like the below:

    .home #content .column-last {
    position: absolute;
    right: 20px;
    top: 60px;
    }

    .home #slider-wrap {
    width: 730px !important;
    }
  4. Thank you thank you!

  5. You are welcome.
