I am inviting a limited group of users to access my blog as viewers. It seems however that for another person to comment on the blog it is compulsory that he must have a WordPress account. Is this so, or is it possible that a non-Wordpress account holder can be invited to participate? Thx

If it is a private blog then, yes, commenters must have a WordPress.com account.
