Accessing my old account

  1. I would like the free URL noonespecific.wordpress.com which I believe I may have signed on for a long time ago but cannot find the log-in for. Might you please check and see if it is in fact an active blog and if it is not, might we find a way that I might have it? You can email me directly at [email redacted]. Any searching I have done shows that it is not active and not accessible.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is greydonstone.wordpress.com.

  2. click this link please http://noonespecific.wordpress.com
noonespecific.wordpress.com doesn’t exist and is reserved for registration only be the person with the matching username account.

If you think your own that username account there is only one means of account recovery so please read on.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog's dashboard.

If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

  3. While I appreciate your response, this does nothing but repeat what I have told you. (Only with more links!) Yes, I once had a blog here many years ago, 2008. I do not recall which email address I used to create the blog as I have many and cycle them as projects and needs change.

I have Googled and cannot find any content and believe that I initiated the blog but wrote nothing so there account is there but has never been used. Now, I would like to use it and cannot access it.

What I am asking is can you, or someone at WordPress look and see if there is an active blog there and if not can we work together so that I might reclaim that url as it is part of an effort to consolidate branding.

    Thanks!

  4. The blog does not exist. Click this link please http://noonespecific.wordpress.com/ and convince yourself what's stated is true. It has not been registered and is reserved for registration by the username account.

As you do not appear to have the login information required for the username account http://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/noonespecific you cannot login under it and register the matching URL for non-existent blog.

There is only one means of account recovery. Please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

  5. Thanks. I will see what I can arrange.

  6. "There is only one means of account recovery. Please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email..."

That process doesn't seem to allow me to complete and only returns the following message at the top of page:

Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website?

Any other suggestions as this does not go through? I'd really like a means to direct this request to a live human being granted authority to look over my request and to act on it. I attempted the submit the following block of text. Perhaps you are able to direct it to someone who can assist me further in this.

    RE: noonespecific.wordpress.com

I opened the account a long time back, 2008. I have an established "brand" under NoOneSpecific and was going to write on this space but never started that project.

I am now looking to begin a project under that URL but cannot find the log-in ID I started with. I have many email addresses and they are cycled through and discarded as projects require.

I have or have had the email address at NoOneSpecific@ most domains over the years, including hotmail, rocketmail, Gmail, Outlook and many more. If the records show that the email of record was some such configuration of this, and as the account has been confirmed to have never been used, I hope that you will see your way clear to assign it to me so that I might use it now.

    Thanks!

  7. Please scroll down to this section and complete it with your explanation and even include a link to this thread in it.

The aim is to get you to contact Account Recovery Staff off this public support forum that everyone who has internet access can connect to.

  8. This is the space where I placed that latter block of text explaining my situation. The one beginning "RE: noonespecific.wordpress.com"

Regardless of what I selected above that space, the page would not go through. If I selected the URL and/or the User Name it just came to that message:

Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website?

Do you have any other suggestions? I am at a loss.

    Thanks!

  9. I have already tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  10. I am subscribed. I receive email alerts to your responses.

    Again, thanks!

  11. You're welcome. I'm sorry we couldn't resolve this together but not to worry as Staff will assist you.

  12. One thing I may point out is that the IP Address at the time the account was originally established was likely of a range associated to Vancouver/Burnaby/Coquitlam, British Columbia whereas now I am located in the Hamilton/Burlington/Toronto, Ontario region.

(Althought it might have been Nairobi, Kenya. I travelled around a lot at that time.)

  13. Ok, update on the IP Address thing. As Shaw has sold their Ontario interests to Rogers recently and we were recently switched to Rogers equipment, my IP Address may currently show as being in the greater Vancouver area while I am actually closer to Toronto presently.

Sorry for all the confusion that this may likely cause. What I was hoping to demonstrate earlier now seems to be something that creates more potential confusion than clarity. Sorry for that.

    =)

  14. Hi there!

The reason why the form won't allow you submit is what timethief was trying to tell you before. There is no site noonespecific.wordpress.com. That site does not exist because it has not been created. However there is a user account noonespecific. If you think that's your account, I can contact you via email to attempt recovery for you.

If that is not your account, you will not be able to have the site noonespecific.wordpress.com as it is reserved for the user account noonespecific.

Does that clear things up? Let me know if you think the account noonespecific is yours.

  15. I believe it is but I cannot recall which (of many) email addresses I might have used when I initiated it. I have tried several and some I no longer have access to. (forgotten logins...) Might I ask which email address it was created with. If I no longer have access that may be a problem but I am sure we will work it out.

There are some like a Bigfoot domain which is no longer in business so that is why I am asking which account I used to set it up. If I know, I may be able to log in and provide the needed credentials.

    Thanks for your assistance.

  16. Hello!

For security reasons, we never give out account information. However, I'll move this conversation to email so we can try to regain access for you.

Please follow up with me via email.
