ad free custom domain questions

    Hello! I am interested in getting an ad free, custom domain. It would be $43 for both, correct? My questions are first of all, will I be able to keep all of my current followers? Do I automatically keep them or is there something that I need to do? For example, if someone searches http://cristinsadventures.wordpress.com/ will they still be able to find me if I have a custom domain such as http://cristinsadventures.com/? Also, by doing this, can I begin to utilize ads to earn income from my blog?

    Purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade changes nothing except the URL. Read:

    To eliminate all ads placed by WordPress.com on your blog you can purchase an annually renewable No-Ads Upgrade.

    No. You are confused. If you purchase a No-Ads upgrade the ads WordPress.com places on your blog are gone but that does not change the fact that no blogger initiated advertising is allowed here. Only WordAds is allowed and you can apply for it. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
