If I add someone as an author on just one blog, would they be able to affect my other blogs? This is a very crucial question, so if it's possible, please tell how to let another author in on just this one, while making sure they can't touch the others.

The link to your name is not a wordpress.COM blog. If you do have a wordpress.COM blog then I don't know why this is happening as it has never happened to me. I would just recommend going to the blogs dashboard > users and remove the authors you don't want on the blog.
This is only relevant if you have a wordpress.COM blog.
