Add "Leave a Reply" Link

  1. I am using the Twenty Twelve theme. I would like to include a "Leave a Reply" link at the bottom of the post after the date. Can this be done with CSS? If so, what is the code?

    Thank you for your help.

    I am trying to figure this out also.

  3. I am also facing the same.is there anyone to help?

  4. I have recently been told this cannot be done with CSS. The link at the top of the post can be moved to the bottom but an additional link cannot be added. That would, I was told, require moving to wordpress.org.

  5. @marshmk, that's correct: you can use CSS to move existing elements around on a page but you cannot add new dynamic content or create new links using CSS only.

    Here is an example that will move the 'Leave a reply' or '# Replies' link to the bottom of posts in the Twenty Twelve theme in case it's useful to anyone who doesn't mind moving the link instead of creating a new one:

    .site-content article {
    	position: relative;
    }
    .site-content .entry-header .comments-link {
    	position: absolute;
    	bottom: 0;
    }
  6. Thank you, designsimply. I appreciate your help. I was hoping to avoid the reader having to go back to the top to leave a comment. I am not sure where the link would be most accessible and visible but will likely leave it at the top, trusting that the theme designer knows better than me!

  7. I personally like it at the top. :)

  8. That's good enough for me. You have answered what I was wondering. I will leave it at the top. Thanks so much for your time and assistance.
