Adding a badge in jpeg form to my page

    Hi,
My blog has just won an award and the organisers have sent me a badge to display on my sidebar. But I'm not sure how to install it because it's in the form of a jpeg. When I looked at the 'image' widget, it asked me for a URL, so I can't use that.

Any advice please? Preferably in very simple terms for a technologically dim person.

    Thank you. :-)

The blog I need help with is thetwistedyarn.com.

  2. Hi thetwistedyarn,

When you say the organisers sent you a badge do you mean that they emailed it to you? If so, you can upload the image to your media library and once it is in your media library it will have a URL that you can use for the image widget.

Detailed instructions with screenshots on how to find the URL can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/

    Does that help?

Of course! Thank you sooo much. Yup, I really was too dumb to think of that. :-)

  4. If they give you HTML code, put it in a text widget in your sidebar.
