Adding a border to content area (textarea) on Oxygen theme

  1. Could anyone please tell me how I can add borders to the Primary and Secondary widget areas in Oxygen as well as the text area?

    I tried with .textarea, .body, but I haven't had any luck.

    Thanks.

    The blog I need help with is laagendaenespanol.wordpress.com.

  2. Here are the selectors for the left widget area (secondary), the right widget area (tertiary), and the footer widget area (supplementary) currently shown on your http://laagendaenespanol.wordpress.com/ site which is using the Oxygen theme:

    #secondary {
    	border: 1px solid red;
    }

    #tertiary {
    	border: 1px solid blue;
    }

    #supplementary {
    	border: 1px solid green;
    }

    Or to put borders around every individual widget, you could do something like this:

    .widget-area aside {
    	border: 1px solid red;
    }

    Update the color and style of the border, of course.

    Also, check out your built in browser tools. If you are using an updated browser http://browsehappy.com/ then if you right-click on any element on the page and select "Inspect Element," you can see the HTML for what you clicked on and all of the CSS rules that apply to it. It's a very handy tool.
