Hi all,
Does anybody know how can I attach a .txt file or some script file to a blog post in wordpress.com ? Any blog posts containing .txt or any scripts and how they look would be nice (if this can be done.)

You cannot upload script or .txt files here: http://support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/ .
My suggestion is to upload them somewhere like fileden or box.net and then link to the files at that service where the people can view them or download them.
If you are wanting to display code snippets for others to see, then you can use the sourcecode shortcode: http://support.wordpress.com/code/#posting-source-code .
not source-code but configuration files. Some which are huge but also interesting as such.
My suggestion is to upload them as I suggested to fileden or box.net, or some other file sharing service.
