adding a link on home page to a post on another page

  1. Hi,
I'm looking to add a link from the home page to posts on other pages. For example, how do I link the "broken leg diaries" on the home page to the full post that's on the page "writing and what not" I've tried 'read more' but it doesn't seem to work.
    Any ideas?!

The blog I need help with is dancerickydance.wordpress.com.

  2. There is only one dynamic page in a blog that displays all of our posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. When we publish a post that post automatically appears on the Categories page and in the Archives as well. Although there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have done that by setting up a custom menu and displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation menu. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/ Instructions > custom menus > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

What you want to do is create a website structure and that means you will have to create a custom menu. Staff have provided this support documentation entry for those who want to structure their blog like a website. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/ What’s critical is to understand when creating a website structure is the differences between pages and posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
