Adding a Link to My Main "Header Menu"

    Hi all, little bit of a wordpress newbie here and I'm having some trouble doing something. What I originally wanted to do is have a link to a page where I could post blog entry like items so I could display literary works, but after doing some research I found you can't post to pages.

    So, I figured I'd just utilize categories and put in a link, however I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Below is a link to my website:

    If you look at the top above the header, there are already a few links, but these are all to pages and my main blog page. I'm wanting to make a link that will display the post within my "Writings" category and put it in that top menu, but like I said I'm not sure as to how to do this.

    The theme is Elegant Grunge if that helps as well. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

    I'm trying to do a similar thing. I want to add two links to the header of my blog(2010 theme), one to return to the blog home page and one to take viewers to my external website.

    Blog URL: blog.revenantphotography.com

    This is a wordpress.com hosted site.
