Adding a menu item to the banner under the header image

  1. I've tried adding a menu item ('Contact me') by adding a tab to the menu under the header image using the menu options, but all I managed to do was made the whole banner disappear. At least I managed to reverse my mistake, but I haven't managed to add the Contact me tab. How do other Adelle users do it?
    Thanks, lovely friends.

The blog I need help with is pillsandpillowtalk.wordpress.com.

  2. 1. Create a Page first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page

    2. (a) Embed a secure contact form on the Page so your email address and personal information will not be harvested by spam bots.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
    (b) Disable comments on the Page and publish the Page.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

    3. Add the Page to the custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages

  3. I assume you have already created a custom menu but if you haven't then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#creating-a-custom-menu

    4. Note that there are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and you can read about them here. > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/

  4. Thank you very much. I will have another go.

  5. You're welcome. BTW I'm using the same theme here http://thistimethisspace.com but I do want you to know this is not a theme related issue.
