Adding Amazon Widgets

  1. Hi,

I would like to add an amazon widget to my blog. Everytime I add the code on, it changes and it does not appear in the front page. Apparently I need to upload the amazon short code on to /wp-content/plugins/ directory. However, I cannot find this feature in the dashboard. Can somebody help me please?

    Thanks,

    Juliana

The blog I need help with is imagesofdance.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
You are confusing WordPress.com free hosted blogs with WordPress.org installs for self hosting. Please read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

Also note the code (no Javascript widgets) restictions and the advertising restrictions at WordPress.com.
In a nutshell no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.COM

The advertising exceptions noted in support documentation are for high traffic blogs that qualify for and are accepted into the Ad Control program, and for extremely high traffic blogs that qualify and are accepted into the paid VIP hosting program.
