Adding constant contacts to my blog

  1. Please advise and bear in mind I am not a techie. I want to add a signup box from constant contacts onto my blog so people can sign up for my ezine and free gift. I have the HTML code and I put it in a text box. However, it does not work. I tried it on a friend's wordpress.org blog and it worked perfectly there. Although I have a website and a domain name, I am not techie enough to manage my own blog with wordpress.org.

Please help. I do want to stay with wordpress.com. I love everything about my blog except this issue.

    Thanks

  2. Most of these contacts things require either javascript or forums, neither of which is allowed here at wordpress.com due to security concerns. If they offer a version that allows you to use a pure html link rather than the form or javascript, then it can be put into a text widget.

Other than that, the contact-page here at wordpress.com is about all we have, which will send an email to the email address you use to set up your blog: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/how-do-i-make-a-contact-form/

Since you also have a normal website, why not put the contact form there and then link to it from a text widget in your sidebar? That would bypass the javascript/forms limitation here at wordpress.com.

  4. Oops, I must have hit the send post button before I finished. The second post has another suggestion in the middle.
