Adding Facebook page NOT profile badge to blog

    Hi there,

    Can anyone help me, I have a facebook page and I am trying to link this to my blog via a facebook badge/button. I already have my profile linked but not my page. Any help would be appreciated!

    The blog I need help with is catwalktocloset.wordpress.com.

    The site linked to your name is not a WordPress.com blog, and we won't be able to help with that.

    Thank you. We basically always need to see the blog in order to give you appropriate answers.

    You can link to a Facebook page just the same as you would a profile or anything.

    So, that's the code to link to my profile. What you want to do is get the code for a badge to YOUR profile, find the URL of the page you want to link to, and substitute that for the URL that is in there now: in my case, that URL in there now is http://en-gb.facebook.com/people/Raincoaster-OfVancouver/1389954304

    Take out your Profile link and replace it with your Page link. You're going to be stuck with visuals that say Facebook Profile, unless you invent new buttons and upload them and put the URL of those images in the code instead of the URL of the Profile button image, the http://badge.facebook.com/badge/1389954304.520.496697011.png. And you change the text of "Raincoaster ofVancouver's Facebook Profile" to "whatever you want to call the page".

    Long-winded, but it should work?

    You could just put it in a text widget as a regular old-fashioned link. That's an option, but it won't give you the badge.

    Hi there,

    I recently created a facebook page to promote my blog: http://www.thevlist.wordpress.com

    I followed your instructions above and still can not figure out why I can not create a badge for the blog. Do you know if I have to have a personal facebook account or can you have a business one?

    I'm sorry if this has been addressed - the one thread that sort of dealt with my question was closed without resolving my issue. I have gone to my FB "create a profile badge" page and created a badge. I then saved it and copied the text in the box. then I pasted that text into a text widget on my sidebar, but when I go to my site - there's just the plain FB badge, not my profile. I recreated the badge on FB a couple of times, recopied and pasted, but it just added the badge. I know I read someone else's response regarding this, but I didn't understand what I really needed to do. Can someone give me the answer in complete-WP-Idiot language?
