Adding Favicon to website link

  1. Hi, I have been trying for the last 3 hours to upload a favicon so it appears next to my site address and when my site is added to someones favourites.

I've created a picture that is named correctly: favicon.ico but thats as far as I've gotten.
After many hours of online searching it seems there are two ways to do it:

    1. Insert a line of code into the root of my website (have no idea how to get to 'the root')
    2. Go to the Appearance tab, select editor etc....(there is no editor option?)

Can someone help me and tell me if what I'm trying to do is even possible on a WordPress.com blog?

    Many thanks!

The blog I need help with is parisianantipodean.com.

  2. You have to follow the instructions in this support document. Things here work differently.

  3. Also, when it comes to doing things on wordpress.com, don't do google searches. What is going to come up in them will be instructions for self-hosted wordpress.ORG installations, and those typically won't work here.

  4. Thank you so much! I can't believe how easy that was... :S

  5. You are welcome.
