Adding Guest Authors

  1. I've a few contacts who have kindly offered to provide guest posts for my WordPress.com blog. I want to be able to receive their posts by e-mail and add them myself but including their details as guest authors, avatars etc. Is this possible or am I restricted to adding additional authors and giving them access to my blog, albeit limited and having them decide as and when they provide posts?

    Grateful for any advice.

The blog I need help with is mushcado.wordpress.com.

  2. This is most certainly possible and it's exactly what I do as I don't wish to provide Admin access to my blogs by adding official users to them. See here for my Guest Posts Policy > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/guest-posts/

  3. Thank-you very much for your reply. Your guest post policy matches almost exactly what I want to achieve. I've scrolled through your blog and seen an example of how you make it work - thanks.

I notice in another article you mention using a Category of Authors and then sub-categories for each author (using their name). This seems like a good idea but I was wondering why you hadn't implemented it yourself, or have I missed something?

    Paul
