adding html tags

  1. How do I get my WordPress.com template to stop adding " < / span >< / div > " after every line on the visual layout in the HTML tab?

  2. Hi there, the Visual Editor doesn't normally add any span or div tags, unless you're adding text formatting like alignment or colours. If you're adding that sort of formatting, the HTML code needs the span or div tags to attach the formatting code to.

For example, on your About Us page, you've added some blue formatting and centered text - that's why you're seeing some div and span tags on the code for that page.

You can delete any empty tags you see, like this:

    <div style="text-align: center;" align="center"></div>

Just let me know if you need further help with this.
