Adding image to sidebar

    I am using the Chateau theme, and would like for an image to be associated with the blogroll. I have gone to those sites (that I wish to include in my blogroll) and got the code for their 'button', and listed it under the image url, but it will not show up.

    The blog I need help with is isthisloadbearing.com.

  2. 1) Links > All Links: make sure you've pasted just the image URL in the Image Address field, not the whole code.
    2) Appearance > Widgets: open the Links widget and make sure the option "Show Link Image" is checked.

    How do I know what the image url is?

    Here is what I am trying to show. The url for the button is this:

    <img border="0" alt="blogname"
    src="http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad249/blogname/Home/blogname_150static.jpg" />

    I appreciate your help. I am brand new to WordPress/blogging.

  4. Normally, an URL starts with http:// and in the case of an image, will usually end in jpg, gif, png, among others.

    With this in mind, are you able to identify what the image URL is now?

  5. But if you use the URL of that particular image, you'll get a message saying "this image has been moved or deleted". This is one of the reasons why you should avoid using the URLs of images hosted elsewhere: better copy them to your computer, upload them to your blog via Media > Add New, copy their file URL and use that URL. Second advantage: your pages will load faster.
