Adding links to text widget

  1. I figured out how to use html to post a link to my text widget but now on my page all it says is "link text" -- how do I change this to the text that I want?
    Appreciate any help

The blog I need help with is applicationessaysolutions.com.

  2. Create a draft post and once you have the links in it and everything is perfect switch to the HTML editor, copy the code and paste it into the text widget. Then delete the draft post.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply. I tried this, and although it now displays the text of the link, it doesn't link to anything. Have I missed a step somehow? In the draft post, do I need to use the html coding, the < a href stuff? What I did was just copy and past the url

  4. Oh wait, I discovered my mistake and solved it by using the visual editor to link to the url and then switching to the html editor, saving the draft, and copying that link. Thanks!

  5. I'm so glad you hear that you figured this out. Best wishes for happy blogging. :)
