adding multiple authors

  1. Hi,

I'm going to add another user as an author to my blog, I'll be authorizing the person to only as author to the blog, by adding them, will they be able to read all my previous posts, including private ones?

I was hoping that authors are able to view their own posts only.

    please advice!!

    thank you

The blog I need help with is wantanmee.wordpress.com.

  2. I am not sure and haven't been able to find anything in the documentation about it. I would certainly, however, caution against giving anyone any authority on your blog if you don't trust them. Why not simply have them email you their posts and you can post them for them?

I just checked it in my test blog: yes, authors see their own posts only (in the Posts>Edit screen) - no access to your private posts.

Here is a breakdown of the different roles you can choose from to assign to added users and how to go about adding them.

Like raincoaster has advised above I also recommend that you consider simply having the author email her articles to you for posting, rather than giving her access to the Admin section of your blog. I have done this with guest authors on my blogs and it worked well for me.
