adding oil price dashboard widget

    Hi! How do I add for ex the oil price dashboard available at oil-pirce.net to my wordpress blog?

    Hello,

    Depending on which of the two widgets you want, you could copy one of the scripts found on this page into a text widget to display on your sidebar. If you need info about how to use widgets, you can read this article.

    None of the scripts on http://oil-price.net/dashboard.php?lang=en will work on WordPress.COM because they require script - script is stripped out here for security reasons.

    You can't use Javascript as it is in a WordPress.com blog, it's not allowed. Though there might be a workaroud via a shortcode. I'd suggest doing a search on Panos' blog, (ie, search for posts about using Javascript or Flash in widgets) and see if there's anything there that might help.

    If you can locate a Flash version of the widget it may be possible to do what absurdoldbird points to ie. change the code to a gigya shortcode that can be used on your blog. See here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/
