   I use the same 4 jpegs over and over again on my blog. As far as I can tell, I have to add them to the gallery of every post over and over again, is that true? Or can they sit somewhere like the library, and I can link to the same pics every time rather than have to create another gallery with them in it for every post.

   My blog is http://cathychua.wordpress.com, but the pics aren't there as I feel I need to resolve this problem before I use them. They are suit symbols for bridge diagrams and bridge analysis.

   Hope my query is intelligible! I'm on my way out to breakfast, hope I get an answer when I get back....

   If you want to use them in the gallery on a post, I believe you have to add them to each post.

   But if you are adding these same pictures to many posts (and you're not displaying a gallery), then they will be available for you to use in any post you like. No need to keep uploading them! Just select add media/ library/ choose the image you want/ insert into post.

   They should be in your media library. Look in your dashboard under manage>media library.

   If you are using the same pictures in a gallery, I think you can just put the gallery ID in your post.

   And thanks for the link to your blog. Consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

   Cathychua,

   I do this a lot ie re-post images that have already been uploaded to WordPress once before. Images are stored on the server and as per Vivianpaige the link to these images can be retrieved from the Media Library > Link URL > click File URL to get the image link.
