    Hi,
I am trying to add the Pinterest button and have joined, etc. Following their directions, but it's not working. Please advise. TIA
    Paula

The blog I need help with is pinkcountryhome.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi Paula. Please copy and paste the entire code you tried to insert. For the purpose of these forums only, please insert the code between backticks ( ` ) (not apostrophes!) otherwise we won't be able to see the code.

    <a href="http://pinterest.com/USERNAME/"><img src="http://d3io1k5o0zdpqr.cloudfront.net/images/pinterest-button.png" width="78" height="26" alt="Follow Me on Pinterest" /></a>

Okay, there we go. Where do I go from here?
    Thanks so much,
    Paula

  5. That looks like a pretty straightforward code. You can put it in a text widget.

Where were you trying to copy-paste it?

    Hi,
I was trying to put it up above my categories section. No matter where I try to put my cursor it doesn't show on the screen while trying to do this. ???

It did it!! Yay!! Thanks so much for all your help. Can you tell that I am a total newbie at blogging or anything with computers off my beaten path? No, of course not. Right?
    Haha. Thanks again.
    Paula

  8. You're welcome :-)

  9. PinkCountryhome123, can you provide the steps of how you did it? I just want to add a "pin it" button on my page. I'm stuck at the widgets part. Which widget should I use?

  10. @ mamatong, use the text widget.

You can use either an image widgetor a text widget.

Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

    Hello,
I am trying to add a Pin It widget to my blog. Below is the code
    Pin It<script type="text/javascript" src="http://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>

I see that I need to put it in a Text widget. It seems that it is only pinning pictures (images) and not the actual post. Is that how it works? I wanted the entire recipe to go with the image. Can you help? Thanks! Dana

  14. I'm sorry but adding that pinterest widget isn't possible as the software removes JavaScript by default for security reasons. The others have posted the pinterest button.
