   I can't figure out how to get certain posts categorized. For example, when I have a post about a recipe, not only do I want it to appear on my home page, but I also want it to be categorized to my "recipes" category. Same thing for crafts, DIY stuff, etc. How do I do this. I have seen other blogs with my same theme that have accomplished this, but I can't figure out how.

   All of your posts seem to be categorized now.

   Just to verify, make sure that you follow this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
