Is it possible to add stickers to my blog's sidebar? I'm used to working with WordPress in my own domain, which lets me modify the sidebar by pasting in lines of HTML. Do you need to purchase modification rights from the Upgrades page to do so here?

Yes you can. Standard html can be placed in text widgets and added to your sidebar. No javascript, shockwave flash, forms or iframes though due to security concerns.
Many thanks. This should help quite a bit. I can't put in the Technorati widget, I've learned, because Javascript is not allowed in wordpress.com, but it appears there may be workarounds. As for any other stickers I do, most of those are HTML and graphic, no script, and should be fine.
