Hi, I am a newbie at wordpress, and have a question about adding (or rather, using) additonal pages.
I want to know if there is anyway to make an extra page behave like the main blog page. In other words, is there a way to put multiple posts on pages other than the default page?

You can choose which page is your "front page" and which page is your "posts page" but you cannot have any more than one posts page.
-> dashboard -> options -> reading -> assign front page and assign posts page -> update options
