ads on wordpress

  1. I've searched the forums for the answer to my question, but for some reason I can't seem to come up with an answer. I've recently started blogging again (on a new blog) after taking some time off from a previous blog. I remember reading that WordPress places ads on blogs occasionally. I would prefer that not happen on my blog at all. Is this still the case (WP placing ads)? If it is, can one opt out of that, or is it totally up to WordPress? Also, does the blogger have any control over what kind of ads might be placed on his or her blog? Or should I not be concerned about this at all? Thanks for any advice/information. Much appreciated!

The blog I need help with is gospelapprentice.com.

  2. Hi teeveebee,
No we have no control over which ads are displayed. The only way to have them removed is to purchase and annually renewable No-Ads upgrade for $30. per year. Here's the link. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

  3. The do still place ads, but there is now a "no-add" upgrade. See the upgrades section in your dashboard for more information.
