   I don't have a php serve and don't want to set one up for this blog experiment. Is there any way to get google adsense banners to display on the sidebar without having to download WP and use a self hosted version? Everything I have found on this topic is related to the self hosted WP and editing the php files. I do have the CSS upgrade if that makes a difference...

   If you want to experiment with ad sense then you will
   need the self hosted version (wordpress.org Version)
   Because here @ wordpress.com staff already runs ad sense
   on our blogs to pay for the servers & what not.
