Adventure Journal-Categories

  1. I am not aware if this is theme specific or general for all blogs.

    When I click on a category, it shows the beginning portion of six posts. Is there any way to allow the complete list to be shown on one page for visitors who may not realize clicking the Older Posts link will get them to more posts?

    Also, is there a way to allow the images to be shown in the category listings, even a thumbnail size?

    Thank you for any help.

    The blog I need help with is thebirdingbunch.com.

  2. Wheter or not full posts, excerpts, titles, thumbanils are displayed on the dynmic Categories and Archives pages created by the software when we publish a post is theme dependent. It's coded into the template and cannot be edited. If you do not like the display you have now see http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/ The number of posts displayed on each dynamic page is in accord with what ones sets here > Settings > Reading.

    Also, is there a way to allow the images to be shown in the category listings, even a thumbnail size?

    You have 2 choices:
    select a theme coded to display thumbnails;
    chose a theme with an active excerpts box and use it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts

  3. Thank you so much for your reply. I'll have to decide if changing themes is worth it. I like the Adventure-Journal. I had looked into another theme before switching to this one, but it displays the categories in the same manner.

    I'd like my blog to be "reader-friendly" and do you think people prefer the seeing the short segments, or the full posts?
