ADVERTIZING -

    ADVERTIZING
    I have bought http://www.nsnbc.me . Over the course of the next 1.5 years I will move the context of my wordpress blog entirely to a professional media software and I will use http://www.nsnbc.me exclusively. It is part of establishing a media collective.

    Meanwhile, I would like to advertise on http://www.nsnbc.me but oh oh, it redirects to http://www.nsnbc.wordpress.com - which is cool for the next year or so... but I´d like to advertise

    and more over I would like to decide who is allowed to advertise on our media collective.

    So far I only see an "arrogant" offer that ones blog could mercifully be considered to be allowed to take part in some word adds or so where I have absolutely no say about who advertises..

    Could be, for example that I would not like to advertise for the Catholic Church, Cheney and the GOP, Levis, and other "high profile globalists" but for environmentally sound products...

    Does wordpress give me a choice here ? Or is it so that I shall understand wordpress policy as an invitation to move away from wordpress entirely as fast as I can ?

    (I could use some advertising money to buy the professional media software first though )

    Help ? Tips ? and please.. lets stay ON TOPIC ... ;)

    NB.: Naïve as I was I thought I would buy a domain and GET RID of the wordpress.com but NO, all it did was to REDIRECT from the domain I baught to the wordpress.com domain.... suck... really.

    Did you set nsnbc.me as your Primary address? If you did not you will get what looks like a redirect to the base blog - my domain name is mapped and my base blog is not visible just the mapped name

    Sorry it is WordAds or nothing - to pick your own advertisers you need to move off WordPress.COM

    Some "off topic" advice - your front page is way long - using the More Tag will make your visitors happier and your blog easier to read

    Like I said before, unless you're part of NBC, you're asking for legal trouble.

    Thank you very much for your kind reply. Your off topic advise is most welcome, contrary to other who repeat themselves unnecessarily. ;)

    Thank you very much for this reply. Could you eventually tell me "how" I can set nsnbc.me as my Primar Address ? Which consequences it eventually may have for the blog on the old wordpress.com address in terms of searchability - links from other media like Asia Times and other who publish my articles and have inserted links to the articles in the wordpress.com address ? Which consequences it may have for Searchengine "findability" (in lack of knowing a better word ) ?

    Basically - how to - and what will happen.

    If you have the time to reply I would greatly appreciate it.

    The redirects are seamless to the mapped domain name from your base blog - search engines are also redirected -

    If nobody posts to this thread it will go back into the archives and go away from the front page in a few hours - so the email from my post here will probably be one of your last emails - I would be surprised if you get more than 2 or 3 emails -
