Adverts in my blog if i buy domain?

  1. Hello, i have done my blog with the Hatch theme and i have seen that, if i don't upgrade, i have advertisings on my pages. I'm thinking about be the master of my own domain and my question is: if i buy my domain ($18 per year) still there will be advertisings on my blog?

I wait for your answer. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is ramonlopezbazo.wordpress.com.

  2. I believe this is the only way to remove them:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

But first, be sure the ads you see are coming from WP and not some other source like adware, malware or something in your browser or computer.

  3. Really thank you for yor help.

  4. I supose is the only way even if i upgrade my theme.

I supose is the only way even if i upgrade my theme.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with upgrading a theme.

The only way to eliminate advertising placed by WordPress.com on your blog is to purchase the No-Ads upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

However, you have not been clear about where the ads you see are and what they are like. That's important because they could be coming from malware via a browser add-on.

If the ads you see are found at the end of blog posts then what you are seeing is WordPress.com generated advertising.

WordPress.com does not use text enhance or text link ads or pop-up ads or links in comments. If you are seeing those then that’s a browser-ad-on issue, or in some cases, it’s embedded into free games downloaded from the internet. See here: Bloggers: Beware of Adware. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/

If what you are seeing whenever you save or update a post or page is an automatically added code/script block at the end of posts and pages that you can’t delete then see here: Malware Targets Macs and Windows PCs http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/10/02/malware-targets-macs-and-windows-pcs/

  6. Domains pay for domains, and themes pay for themes. The only two things that pay for our other costs (server hardware, bandwidth, personnel, etc) are either the ads or the No Ads upgrade.

  7. Each upgrade at Wp.com applies only specifically to what it says. If you want no ads, you buy the No Ads upgrade.

WordPress.com not allows me to advertise on my site. What would be the solution? WordPress.org allows to place advertise on a site, but what should I do if I have already the WP.com?

  9. Not a solution for the OP (original poster), so a bit off-topic, but here is info about what wp.com users can do to monetize their blogs:
